Topics: This interdisciplinary project is designed to spark your student's interest in their local ecosystem. By choosing an animal that lives in the neighborhood, your student will move through different hands-on activities that will help them learn about their animal through writing, observing, drawing, and moving. These pages are intended to facilitate project-based learning during July when families might take a break from formal academics and spend more time outdoors. The activities combine writing, science, mathematics, art, and movement to create a comprehensive project about an animal neighbor.
